Breastfeeding cough remedies

I have got a horrible, persistent loud cough, which is driving me bonkers! I keep coughing me laddo off the boob, poor boy, and worse, waking him up. At which point he demands more boob . Argh....

What on earth can I take to try and quieten things down? Anything?!

Be very careful - most remedies contain something which can restrict milk production - it's a decongestant - I'll just look it up now. Took me by surprise!

Other than that, the Kellymom website is brilliant for most things - they might have a medications section
