cold and flu remedies whilst bf

Hi there,

Both myself and my DD who is 4 weeks old have a horrible cold. Can I take over the counter stuff like beechams or sudafed whilst breastfeeding? Also, any advice on what I can do to help my little one's stuffy snotty nose? Thanks in advance! X

Just paracetamol I'm afraid. You could also try lemon and honey and stuff like that but none of the good stuff. Decongestants can lower milk supply apparently. Sorry op. Hot water bottle and bed.

For you LO;
Snuffle baby ( like Vicks vaporub for babies)
I put a few drops of baby Olbas on a damp flannel and put it on the radiator
Snot sucker
Raise the head of the cot
Steam- run the shower for a few minutes and sit baby in the bathroom.
