18 month old on formula at night

Hi my 1& month old still walks up at night twice for milk. Instead of giving her cows milk I give her formula milk, however feel this isn't filling her up. Reason why I don't give her cows milk is not being able to warm it up from upstairs.

Any ideas of what formulas if anyone has tried?
Thanks
Sandy x.

You could give her her milk cold. There's no reason it has to be warm.

Is she actually hungry or is this habit. Have you tried giving her water and more food in the daytime. She might decide that sleepings better.

Also formula is made from cows milk so broadly similar in terms of "fillingness"

Thanks think it's become a habit. I feed her as much as I can.

Don't worry - my thirteen month old wakes once. He eats loads in the day, frustrating!

When are the feeds. Could something be waking her. Boiler clicking on etc

Porridge or cereal before bed might help.

Thank you. Sometimes you question things!

My 15 month old wants a bottle in the night too. I give him formula still, using the tommee tippee machine for ease.
If I give him a bottle he is asleep in minutes, if I try and leave him he just fully wakes up and then the whole house is awake.
He eats a lot as well! I am trying the hipp bedtime milk with cereals in at bedtime and he is sleeping until 4am, having a bottle and back to sleep until 6.30 which is manageable

I wouldn't be giving anything at night at that age. Or maybe a quick drink of water in a lidded cup if I was feeling generous

We stopped night feeds at 8 months. I think 18 months is old enough to understand no more milk overnight! Maybe a sippy cup of tap water as you transition.

Food is the only thing! DS at that age stopped being filled up by breastmilk too whereas previously it had been filling for him.

So either a slow-release snack before bed, like porridge, or I did actually used to take a little sandwich to bed which he'd eat and go back to sleep. Got flamed for it at the time but it was a phase, I think his stomach maybe hadn't quite caught up and he wasn't able to eat enough in the day to keep himself going through the night. Didn't last long, and he didn't ask for food in the night afterwards.

If you want it to stop you need to night wean. We did at 10 months. It was 3 nights of hell. Me and dh took turns to sit by her cit whilst she kicked off.
By night 4 she slept through and that was that.
