I've recently moved DS (23wks) onto bottles, but still breastfed during the night. After only a few days though, the milk seems to have gone! My boobs are back to their old size, and if i put him to the breast at night, he gets upset as there's nothing there, and he's on bottles at night too now.

I feel a bit redundant really. He's very happy with the bottles, but b/feeding was my thing you know, the thing i could give him that other people couldn't? Probably sounds daft, but it's a bit sad.

You'll find you will be giving him more than breastmilk.
My biggest problem with BF was that I felt like a milk machine and in all honesty I couldnt do it.

You're the only person who's his mum, that means you're not redundant

I have the opposite problem. I stopped breastfeeding one year ago and I still have milk. Grrrrr ....

Bizarrely, DS is ill with a bad cold at the moment, and when he started crying last night, milk poured out of my right breast! Must have been a reserve there somewhere for a sick little boy! He (and I) were both comforted by it i think.
