Really dumb question about hand expressing.

I had advice on another thread yesterday to try hand expressing. So I did. Worked a treat, saves me buying a breast pump! My question is this: What can I use to "catch" the milk? I tried just expressing it into the dish I was going to use, but it squirted all over the kitchen!!LOL!!! Short of shoving my norks in a bucket, what else can I use?

a pint glass tilted to the side so the milk sprays in is good

Thankyou!

So simple - rather like me, I think!!

I just expressed directly into a wide neck feeding bottle or EBM bottles from Boots. Catch drip milk in nipple shields - you get them in Boots too. Pop it in your bra with the little lip facing upwards (otherwise you get milk in your knickers!)

Hand expressing is the easiest thing - I wish more women would try it. Less ahssle than using hand pumps.

Ooooh, I couldn't get on with hand expressing at all! But when I did try I used a large bowl - the dismal amount I produced looked a bit pathetic in the bottom though!

I used a pyrex pint jug oh the memories.
