Changing formula

Dotty22 · 17/11/2015 14:15

Hi, this is my first post so forgive me if I haven't done it correctly.

Is it ok to use normal formula instead of hungry baby as a one off?
I use the little cartons for when we go out and the shop has run out of hungry baby cartons.

Brief history - My baby is 5 months old we switched to hungry by formula at 6 weeks old advised by Health visitor. We are using cow and gate

Thank you :)

I am sure it will make no difference

It will be fine, though as your baby is used to a heavier milk he/she may need milk more frequently than they are used to.

It will be fine but just be aware that hungry baby milk tends to be thicker than normal formula so you might want to go down a teat size as it might flow to quickly.

I never noticed a difference in thickness when I used it. It is different in the proportion of whey/casein milk proteins but has nothing extra added to thicken it

It shouldn't be thicker or thinner.

It's fine to use regular formula with a baby who has the other stuff usually.

Great thank you for your replies, didn't want to cause an upset stomach or anything :)
