Great video. I'm experiencing quite a bit of nipple pain and have been told my latch is perfect. But looking at this im not so sure it's deep enough. Will spend the day trying to coax the little beastie to open his mouth a bit more and shove more boob in

Yep I was told my latch looked good but was still getting mega cracked nipples, I thought it was just part and parcel of breastfeeding but now I've started kind of pinching my nipple and really shoving it in her mouth (gently of course ) to get a deeper latch it's soooo much less painful and she's feeding much more efficiently.

Wish I'd watched this video before she was born! I was pretty naive about how hard it would be!

Skiptonlass I found the tip to stroke down from baby's nose to top lip really helped stimulate her gape reflex. Good luck.

Will definitely be trying the advice in the video. Having huge trouble with my almost 3 week old. She had tongue tie which was snipped at day 4 but the damage to my nipples had been done. Now mixing expressing and trying her back on every few days. But we still don't have the latch right as I just end up sore again and she clearly isn't getting enough and she's not emptying my boob. Currently trying to heal a hole in my right nipple before I try her again. Really don't want to give up but feeling very down and frazzled with the whole thing.
