Moving twins on to bottle feeds

I am still breastfeeding my 1yo twins but really need to stop. I am trying to give them cows milk in bottles but neither will take it, they throw the bottles down and scream at me.

I'm having a procedure done at hospital next week and will have to take medication that I can't take whilst breastfeeding so I have just a week to try and get them to take a bottle.

Has anyone got any tips?

I assume you tried a cup? At 1 year a free flow sippy cup may be more acceptable for them. Do they drink water from a cup?

My (not twin) ds never drank any other milk than breast milk from the source, he self weaned at 17/18m. he still won't drink any type of milk at four, we made sure he had plenty of water, yoghurt and cheese all of which he drank and ate well. I'm not sure if that's helpful or not, but I think at one if they are eating a varied diet it's less of a concern?
