Can I have a small one? DS is 14wo and ebf. Ive not had a drink since i became pregnant and would now like the occasional small glass of wine. He feeds then sleeps from about 5pm til 10pm. Can i have a glass in this time and stil feed at 10? Or should i express before?

Have a glass of Wine and relax! If you had a glass at 7 the amount of alcohol in your bm would most likely have left by 10. Someone posted a similar question a few weeks ago which had some useful replies regarding the rate at which alcohol is metabolised.

Google breastfeeding network alcohol breastfeeding for a useful evidenced fact sheet.

Please please don't worry about a glass of wine and for goodness sake don't bother expressing :)

Thank you both. I had a small glass, felt drunk for half an hour, really wanted another one for a few minutes ten carried on as usual. DS predictably wanted feeding about half an hour after at a time when he never normally does.
