Nursing Bras-any suggestions?

I really need a couple of new bras as at the mo i've only got 3 (one not the right size) and i'm having to wash every day!!!

Anyone found any really nice looking comfy bras? I'm having real trouble finding any that don't look old lady ish and also that don't reall break the bank!!!
HELP!

emily b are lovely, as are elle mapherson ones, although both are around £30

if you don't mind them being too 'unstructured', Jojo Maman do some own brand good value stretch jersey ones (£10-14 ish) which are comfy.

Bravado ones were good - do for a range of sizes which meant I only bought two sizes during pregnancy (they do for both preg and bf) which was a touch better than with last preg as I went up a size every other week grrr!

Another vote for the Elle Macpherson ones - mine is by far the most comfortable of all my bras.

If you're looking for budget, have you tried ebay? Can get some cheap new ones and if you don't mind used, you can get them REALLY cheap... It seems there are a lot of women who buy lots of expensive nursing bras but then only breastfeed for a week then sell them cheap on ebay... So I've noticed anyway

Hi Sammysam,

Try Boots and the Emma Jane range. I bought 4 in the last week for £2 each. I can't work out why so cheap. They are v supporting and have a little sling bit inside which helps to support while you have the flap down. They have a range of patterns and fabrics. The 95% cotton one is very supportive, but can get a bit tight if you have an engorged phase overnight. They have a 45% cotton one whihc seems comfortable all day long. They are a world better and more supportive then the mothercare ones I have.

surprisingly, i found a bunch of v comfy ones at mothercare - moda i think the range is called. and pretty good looking too. im still wearing most of them even tho im not bf'ing anymore!

they are v hit and miss in respect of stock so i snapped up a bunch to get me through...and glad i did b/c they seemed to sell out of the nice ones v quickly. i think you hva eto keep going to get lucky...

i love my elle macpherson bra and live in it - if only I could afford another one. I don't like my emma jane one particularly and the mothercare and M&S ones I've bought have no support in whatsoever.

Thanks everyone! Is the one evryone likes the Elle Macpherson Intimates - La Mere maternity bra?

And the H&M ones-where do they keep them? With the normal bras or in maternity?

And is this the one you were talking about Lmc? Emily B Maternity - Daisy nursing bra

I've had such trouble finding them-i've found they all come up in different sizes-bought a couple of sale ones from different places and taken the label off before trying on and they're either too tight or too loose but the 'same size'!!

Or is this just me?!!

When I ordered the wrong size and had to exchange and decided to return another, they were quick and efficient in processing it.

NOT mothercare ones. They look quite nice but have a stringy bit of elastic that stretched loads really quickly. Their sleep bras ARE good but the others just aren't supportive enough. M&S ones have the slingy bit mentioned earlier, but are just plain bras. Twin pack for £25.

I agree, NOT Mothercare.... Same reasons as already mentioned, saggy elastic in the jersey fabric ones. Their moda cotton one seem to fit completely differently and get tight.

My favourites are good old M&S, 2 pack for £25 (better value than mothercare). They aren't lacy but have nice slightly ribbed design with pretty edging. VERY comfy and as with all M&S undies, they wash really well. Only down point is they only seem to do in black or white.

Sammysam - H&M have theirs in maternity section... Depended on size of shop, could be quite a limited range of sizes though. If you ask, they sometimes order your size in though...

totally agree with sizes - I've got a range of sizes simply because it depends on the make. totally mad - why can't a size be the same everywhere... I find the same with clothes though - size 12 in M&S is different to size 12 in Top Shop...
