Hi, my baby is 9 weeks old and on formula. She feeds every other hour between 2 and 5 oz's. how often should I be feeding for her to get her full 5 oz's in one go?

Do you need to do that? Her stomach is tiny and atm she probably prefers smaller amounts more frequently.

It's like starving yourself all day and then eating all of your calories in an evening. You'd feel crap for half of the day and stuffed for the half.

Is her feeding pattern causing other problems, such as around sleep or comfort? Is she happy, gaining weight, lots of wet and dirty nappies?

If she is feeding little and often then thats ok imo dont try and force her to take the whole lot in 1 go i demand fed my babies till they were nearly 4months tiny stomachs sometimes cant take a lot. Dds put themselves into a routine

My oldest was similar, it's just what some of them do. Perfectly normal.

Hi my little on if formula fed. She is on 4 hour routine of 6, 10, 2, 6, 10, 2. She has 4-5 oz each feed. She is just over 10lb and much better on a routine than when she was in demand. She often now has a night feed at midnight not 10pm, and goes through till 6am.

I formula feed on demand

DS (23 months) was amazing and put himself on a 4 hour feeding schedule from the start... I did not know what I had at the time!

DD (14 weeks) feeds any where between 1 1/2 to 3 hrs.

DS never took the amount suggested on the box and DD is looking like the same. They made their own schedules and unless you want to try and make them go longer between feeds they'll get there on their own.

No help now when all you seem to do is feed, but hang in there.
