this is the first time I have posted on here. So not sure if this is the right place to post this! I am currently breastfeeding with formula top ups and I have done since my baby girl was born as she wasn't getting enough. I have always tried expressing also but still failing
She is now 5 months and expressingI barely get 30 ml and that's after half an hour of expressing. How often should I do it to build it up? I thought if I left it a few hours it would build up and I would get plenty but again it's only about 50 ml. My baby latches on fine and always has done but I struggle to know if she is feeding properly as even though there is milk there she throws her head back after 10 mins or so and chews on her hands instead and after "fighting" with her a bit she - and I - gets frustrated so this is when and why I have to give her formula top ups. I wish I could express enough to give it to her by bottle. Is this possible???
