Aptimil and Change in pooh?

Just changed DD(17 weeks) and pooh was different to normal it was more like a thick yellow gravy with white lumps that look like oats in it.

She is FF using Aptimil, no solids yet. She had a day of ready mix milk as we're staying with friends for the weekend. She has had 3rd lot of jabs on Thursday. She's a little grizzley today.

Should I be concerned?

Was it ready mix Aptimil? Either way, it's perfectly normal to see a change in poo with a change in formula (and ready mix is not the same as powder), so I wouldn't worry unless it continues for a few days. I think the 3rd jabs are when they're most likely to be off-colour as well?

Nothing immediately concerning, but keep an eye on things.

Sounds like the poos my ds2 had when on Aptamil. Have a look at their literature - somewhere on box or leaflet it says poos should be yellowish and quite runny. HTH.

I wouldn't be, at least not yet, as it could be so many things in addition to Aptamil, however if you don't see a change, I would try another brand, whatever they say about all the formulas being the same, there are brands that agree better with some children.

DS's was a nightmare until I introduced Aptamil, but I have seen people who swear by Cow & Gate (DS was at his worse with it), or SMA. IT's jsut a matter of finding the one that is right for your baby.

Oh sorry. I wouldn't worry yet anyway, as tribpot says, just keep an eye on things.
