Breastfeeding and impetigo

My daughter is 14 months old and has got impetigo around her mouth. She has been prescribed a cream by the gp which we have started applying this evening. I'm just wondering what the chances are (if any) of me getting it on my nipples and if it is likely are there any precautions I can take to try to stop me catching it?

Thank you Smile

Oh no! Don't think you want that on your breast. Have you called one of the BFing Helplines? Smile

My DS2 had it, it's very contagious, I would speak to someone specialised, if at all possible.
