does anyone know if babies find oral thrush painfull or uncomfortable?

dont know if its sore, but guess it might be.

a good way to treat it is with friendly bacteria, babies have different bacteria than adults, try Solgar ABCdophilus. Add a pinch of the powder to some water and feed with spoon.

I have just been through this - my breasts were covered with sores and splits and H my 11 week old developed white patches in her mouth (thrush). After a month of no joy at last found a doctor who could help - we are both on treatment now -
Anyway to the point, he told me that although they don't find it painfull, it is very likely to be itchy so will want to suck alot to aleaviate (sorry not sure how to spell!) this. This certainly would explain the last 36 hours as H wanted to feed continuously but then sicking most of it up as she was overfeeding. Good luck.
