How do you give formula?

My 8mo baby is breastfed and weaning solids. For half a day a week she goes to her Granny's (to get her used to it before I go back to work). Granny is giving her formula (because for some reason my boobs don't express anything). At the moment we're just sticking a straw into a ready made bottle of aptimal. She's pretty good with a straw and this way there's no worry about washing/sterilising for my mum. But I'm thinking that maybe I need to switch to a Sippy cup or straw cup.

What do you do? And if you use a sippy/straw cup, do you sterilise it?

It's great your clever baby can use a straw - at just 8 mths, wow!

If you want to switch to a cup, then of course you can do so, but it's not compulsory.

If you do use it, wash it thoroughly between uses, making sure you get into all the 'corners' of the spout especially if it's one which uses little valves and diaphragms where stale milk can collect.

You don't need to sterilise.
