Relactation?

If anyone here has successfully relactated - do you go through the colostrum stage or does milk come back straight away?

Should say - DS is 6mo and I stopped BFing at 4weeks.

I think it's very difficult and time consuming. I remember reading somewhere that a rule of thumb is that it takes about as long to relactate as you've not been bf........but not impossible. Is it something you're considering?
