Feeding every hour

Hi
I've got a problem with my 9 day old so would welcome any advice. I have a toddler son who didn't establish bf so this is my 1st time proper bf.
The problem is that dd has wanted to feed almost every hour this afternoon and we've had this pattern during the nights and at other times over the last few days. I'm pretty sure her latch is ok now (e.g. we've got over the soreness) and am wondering whether I have a supply problem.
My main question is what I should do about switching breasts. She often falls asleep on the 1st one after about 10 mins and then i've been tending to wake her with a nappy change and then swap to the other breast where she will stay for another 10 - 20 mins. But should I instead put her back on the 1st breast after waking her? Perhaps she's not getting the hind milk? She just won't settle for long after a lot of her feeds even though they seem in total to be lasting for a good amount of time. Any advice much appreciated.

Your doing fine, sounds like a growth spurt. DS had one about 10 days and fed all day. I switched breasts when I felt empty... I guess after 40 minutes? 20 minutes sounds fine to get hind milk...

if you feel full enough, put her back on same breast after a nappy change, if your in doubt.

Lex, I don't think you need to do anything. This is normal behaviour. I agree with Qootie - play the swap breast thing by ear.
