Hi there. It's going to be a scorcher next week! Just wondering whether I should be offering my 7mo water in a bottle (and if so how much?) or just offering more breastfeeds?
I am offering water in a beaker with solids but he is rubbish at actually getting any water out - he just plays around with the beaker and dribbles water over his tray!
Thanks

He is used to a bottle btw as he has one bottle feed a day

Hi i would like to know the same for my 3 month old as I'm worried he might get dehydrated, I have asked health visitor but I didn't really get a reply

I wouldn't offer water in a bottle. Just continue with the beaker, have it handy outside meal times.
in terms of bf I wouldn't offer more but I would feed more if they wanted it (if that makes sense)
my ds is 13 months now and was ebf, I found when we went on holiday he would eat less and bf more even at 9 months.
I'd be led by them.

kent at 3 months I would just offer regular bf. if ebf they dont need water until weaning.
I'd just expect them to feed a bit more in the heat.
ds would feed more but for shorter bursts when hot when he was that small.
