Hi All - My DD is 2 months old and feeds every 3 hrs taking between 3 and 5 ounces each feed. Over the last week she has started to get herself in a bit of a state on her bedtime bottle. She cries and will only take an ounce in between cries. She stll goes down to sleep ok with no crying but i'm so confused as to what is wrong. She doesn't cry much at all in the day (unless she is having a cranky one )which makes this all the more strange. I would hate to think she is trying to tell me something but It seems like she's got into a pattern. Has anyone else experienced this?? Any help/advice much appreciated.

um, does she want water.
is is the teet to small?

Hi Jam77, as aliceband says, you may need a larger teat. Which size do you currently use? (btw, little babies don't really need water unless the waether is hot or they have a high temperature).

Or maybe she's full and doesn't want to be fed as much then?

My DS was BF but I used to have similar. In retrospect (as at the time I was clueless) i think DS was over tired and due to his tongue tie unable to feed effectively and found it all very frustrating. Just to check DD dosen't have that - not as frequent in girls but that was my experience.

Hi All - thanks for the messages - have actually spoken to HV today as I have been saying at clinic for 2 weeks that something was up - DD has been taking less and less when feeding and began to throw up 1 to 2 hrs after feeding - HV was saying not to worry and to keep DD on aptamil when I suggested changing to cow and gate comfort. I explained then that the last thing I wanted was to change as aptamil highly recommended but at the same time mum's instinct was telling me all was not well. HV today finally advised me to swap to Cow and Gate comfort and said it must be the aptamil not agreeing with her - in hindsight I wish I'd trusted my gut feeling and changed it weeks ago grrrrrr feel rotten poor DD has been so uncomfortable, fingers crossed comfort will help her belly
