anyone know of a good reliable source of info to tell me if I shouldn't be breastfeeding whilst taking Stemetil?

Not sure if it references your specific medication, but I've found this site very helpful.

Yes try the Breastfeeding network. Google them and their web page will come up. They have fact sheets on lots of drugs and if the above isn't on there then either call or email them and they'll get back to you quickly with excellent advice.

Bfn yes, they have pharmacists on the phone. They had to ask for donations to keep the helpline open last year because there was no funding Sad it's a great service.

addictedtosugar · 08/06/2015 20:52

third voice saying call the bfn if your drug isn't already on there.

Yy, there's a specialist drugs in breastmilk pharmacist available- number in bfn. Based in notts iirc. Technically 111 should be able to get you the number too.

BNF British national formulary States limited information available. Animal studies show there can be harmful effects. Chronic use is not recommended unless absolutely necessary. Without knowing why you need it I would avoid tonight and ask healthcare professional in the morning
