Breast to bottle

I have a 5 month baby boy. He is breast feed and soon to be weaned. At the moment My husband and I are trying to get our son to take a bottle. I go back to work soon so I need him to accept milk from other family members. At the moment we aren't having much luck. Logan only takes a couple ounces if we are lucky then goes into melt down! My husband is the one trying Logan with the bottle. We have tried; waiting till bang on feed time, waiting a few mins after feed time, in a quiet room, in the livingroom with normal surroundings and its just not working so far. Has anyone got any helpful tips. I would really appreciate input that might help.

I agree with the above suggestions, but the only way I managed it with all 3 DCs, going back to work in a similar time frame as you are suggesting, was for me and DP to vacate the house and let very experienced Grandmothers take over. Sounds awful, but it worked and so I was able to give the BF night time/early morning feeds etc. but could gradually get DCs used to me not being around. One word of warning, when you do go back to work make sure you are ready with breast pads and that awful 'pull' feeling.

I had this problem with dd1. It was really hard Hmm. In the end I had to take the plunge with determination and tried the bottle every day at the same time. Eventually she took it. Or, Iby the time you go back to work your baby might be ok on morning and night feed only with other dairy in the day?
