Tandem feeding question

Just something I'm idly wondering about - if you carry on feeding through a pregnancy and then tandem feed when the new baby arrives - what happens about colostrum? Does baby2 just not get any? Surely your milk composition will be 'mature' milk and therefore not right for a newborn?

Nah, it all works out. You produce colostrum, your toddler might go off it a bit initially, or might not - it can cause runny nappies in a toddler, but no ill effects. Tis very clever!
