I've just given the lovely lady at the milk bank 1700ml of bmilk for prem babies.

I feel quite proud of that.

give yourself a big pat on the back.

JackieNo · 08/11/2006 11:04

And so you should be - that's fab.

Miaou · 08/11/2006 11:05

Blimey, that's a lot!!!

Well done you

Miaou · 08/11/2006 11:06

1.7 litres then?

Your norks must be bouncing off your knees [wicked grin]

hunkermunker · 08/11/2006 11:07

Not all from one express, you shocker! PMSL at being able to express nearly 2 litres all at once!

Well done Hunker. Long time no "see". How is life treating you and your boys?

Miaou · 08/11/2006 11:08

hehehehehehe!!!!

hunkermunker · 08/11/2006 11:10

Not bad CoV - DS2 is a cheerful chap who loves waving at everyone and shakes his head no very comically, DS1 is chatty as anything and runs rings round me with toddler logic and persistence

How are you? Have you moved yet? Are you going to the meet-up?

OP posts:
blueshoes · 08/11/2006 11:13

that's quite a stash, hunker On top of bf-ing an lo too!

From the amount that is hoovered out, could your body be like Jordan's ie slim eveywhere except on top?

ComeOVeneer · 08/11/2006 11:17

I am hung over (shared a bottle of wine with dh last night and it has given me a stonking head ache). We still haven't moved, or even exchanged contracts yet, there has been one hitch after another, but hopeful we will be there before christmas. I still haven't sorted a new school for dd (can't apply until echange of contracts) and the longer it goes on the more settled she is at this school. And yes I will be at the meet up, am really looking forward to it, last year's was great.

hunkermunker · 08/11/2006 12:15

LOL at Jordan-esque figure - nope! Not sure whether to be glad about that or not though

CoV, really hope you're in for Christmas - looking forward to seeing you again!

burstingbug · 08/11/2006 19:43

Well done Hunker, I'm still waiting for someone from the milk bank to contact me.

moondog · 08/11/2006 19:45

You've been doing this for a while haven't you?

Fantastic!

(I thought tiny babies couldn't have milk from older ones though??)

hamstermunker · 11/11/2006 02:06

Yes, have been doing it for nearly four months - had to start before DS2 was 6mo, but can carry on as long as I want (though probably won't past state pension age, as that would be a bit odd ).

No problem with tiny babies having bmilk from mums with older babies - tis all fab stuff.

mamama · 11/11/2006 02:12

Oh wow - that's great. Well done Hunkermunker

I wanted to donate all my ebm (that DS refused to drink after it had been frozen ) but that doesn't seem to be the done thing over here. Felt awful washing it all down the sink. What a waste.

Saturn74 · 11/11/2006 02:16

Well done, HM.

It's good to think of all those babies who will benefit from the kindness of donors like you.

flack · 11/11/2006 06:49

Well done, hunker.
