Fastest, most efficient breast pump?

I have a Medela freestyle double pump that I bought 7 years ago. 4 children later and it has become temperamental!

I have found mixed reviews on its newer replacement (freestyle?).

Just wondering which pump is the current "best" (ie really efficient and speedy!) as the good ones seem to be significantly more expensive so don't want to invest in something that can't be returned!

Many thanks Smile

I found lansinoh (mothercare sell them) very efficient.

Medela Symphony is the quickest, most efficient pump I have used. You can hire them from the NCT.

I have the Medela swing which is fab. Can I also recommend it's manual pump the harmony. You can get it on Amazon for £29. It's fantastic if you need to express out and about. It's just as quick as electric and it means you have another bottle for the electric one too Smile

I used the Ardo Calypso double and found it very good - I used it when I went back to work and needed to express quickly, hands-free (I bought a very fetching pumping bustier!) and the Medela swing just didn't cut it in terms of efficiency. (I also read many things online about how the Swing isn't a closed system and how yucky it all gets, which put me off using it. The Calypso is a closed system, which means you can sell it on with a clean conscience.)

Medala symphony is best I ever had too.

I've got the Avent electric pump and really like it. I borrowed the Ardo one from the clinic before but find Avent loads better in every way.

I have a medela swing it's ok but much prefer my tommee tippee manual pump!
