would you feed and then put down a baby while still swaddled?

I'm confused about this one;; is it safe to feed while the baby is swaddled and then put him down to sleep? My concern is that it would be harder to burp the baby as if he's wrapped up he wouldn't be able to burp so easily.

But if I feed him, then swaddle him, he's much more likely to wake up and complain..

any tips?

yes.

i bf'd dd2 swaddled b/c she would otherwise flail her hands and arms and make it hard for me to get her latched.

i'd wind her over my shoulder and then lay her down.

I did with dd. the only thing you need to watch for is swaddling increases heat so you need to check how many layers you put over her/him.
