2+ hour feeds

My DD is18 days old, I have been EBF since day one. She is gaining weight very well and is having plenty of dirty and wet nappies. So I know she is getting plenty to eat.
My problem is that she takes up to 2 hours to feed, sometimes more. I am finding this extremely exhausting as she wants to feed every 2 hours. She sucks for a bit but then sits there for ages doing nothing, I try to take her off but then she kicks off and I put her back on. She doesn't seem to open her mouth very wide either, but my nipples aren't sore. I've had her tongue checked and it's fine.
Is this normal behaviour? Does it get any easier? I love breastfeeding but feel like it's all I'm doing and I also have a 2.8 year old DD to look after. Giving a bottle is out of the question as I made that mistake first time round and it messed everything up.
Someone please tell me feeds get shorter!

Long feeds were normal for me for several months but the shallow latch etc sound like they're making feeds longer than they need to be.
I would suggest ringing a bf helpline (eg nct) or seeing if there's a local playgroup/bf cafe with support. If someone knowledgeable sees the latch they should be able to suggest ideas. Smile

Thank you, the breastfeeding support woman has been out and looked, she said it seemed fine. There is obviously something wrong, I can be sat for 10 minutes trying to get her to open her mouth.
I've been feeding now since 4am Confused

Midwife has just been and she has gained 8 ounces in 5 days! Maybe a growth spurt then?
