I have no experience of this personally, but the excellent evidence-based breastfeeding site Kellymom says it's fine - kellymom.com/bf/can-i-breastfeed/lifestyle/mom-activities/

I had both nipples pierced but let them heal before I got pregnant, and am currently bf my third child. I bf the first two for two years each so I'd say there's no problem Grin

Thanks - sorry for the random half post, I haven't been able to get back online to finish it! Name changed.....

I haven't had a ring or anything in the piercing for some years but it has never closed up. This is what concerns me a bit for some reason.

I've had both of mine done.

I had taken my piercings out about a year or so before I fell pregnant though.

I've BF my DS1 no problems at all (still going at 16 months)...I do get some additional milk leakage out of the holes on one side though! Grin
