Coping with reflux while breastfeeding

Anyone had any experience re reflux and bf? My 5 week old i feel literally feeds constantly and as soon as i take him off he is sick to the point i feel like its the whole feed. He has been sick a few days but i feel the last two days has got worse. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Is he on any medication like infant Gaviscon or ranitidine? Have you seen the GP etc? Do you keep him upright after feeding?
I know how awful it is when they feed and throw it up and feed again and repeat. It does get better eventually! Hellish as it was we got through and I bf until nearly 2.

DD had it for a few months. She was prescribed infant gaviscon and she went from waking every 20 minutes to sleeping a few hours at a time. I vaguely remember giving it to her with a syringe before moving her to the other boob.
