Hello all

My baby is 6 weeks and I have bf him since birth, today after a frantic figuring out of the pump and steriliser I have manages to express some milk for him. I don't plan on doing this all the time but I'm desperate to just have a couple of hours to do some things where I can't take him, I also think daddy would benefit from this as a bit of a bonding thing.

He has already had his feed this morning so does anyone have any tips for us to not totally balls this up. Baby also has a tongue tie but his feeding is fine, he's pretty greedy so he doesn't let him stop him.

Various health professionals have given different advice on if I should try a bottle with his tongue so I don't know which to follow.

Any advice is appreciated as to angle of bottles or anything relevant etc as I have never actually fed anyone's baby with a bottle before

Get your DP to give the first bottle feed. Your baby is less likely to refuse it if he can't smell milk on you.
