Help: baby going ballistic at bottle

My 3 month DS has started to refuse to take his bottle and I don't know why. I'm breast feeding but gave him bottles of expressed milk and formula since 2 to 3 weeks without any problems. For the last month we've given him a bottle of formula at night in the hope of getting him to sleep through (yeah right). He always gulped it down - he's a real fatty - but for the last 4 nights has just refused - just screams and goes mental when the bottle is in his mouth. Any ideas why? Really starting to concern me. Haven't changed bottles or formula or anything.

not sure but maybe he wants a faster flow teat? or he just prefers a breastfeed.

Hi, I've read that babies can forget how to take a bottle if it has been a few weeks since trying it. It happened to my friend's DS and they had a bit of a struggle trying to get him used to it again. It was a case of persevering and he got back on track again fine.

At 3 months some babies can need to go up a flow rate on the teat - they get annoyed if it is not coming through fast enough.
He could also be too tired - try a long breastfeed at bedtime instead and save the ebm for middle of night (or for you to have a break in the day )

Thanks will try giving him faster flow eat during the day - at least i'll be less tired then. I had an awful vision of having to breastfeed forever ....
