My dd is formula fed. I'm not in the UK.
We have a private pediatrician and one our last visit she prescribed some very expensive multivitamins. A product called Paradox oil. It is cheaper in the UK. But still quite expensive.
It's Omega 3,6 and 9 and vitamins D and E. She didn't give a specific reason as to why she just said it was a great product and she wanted all her patients dd's age on it because the science behind it is so compelling into omegas in general. I consider myself to have a balanced diet and do include them in what I eat but I'm not sure why. I can't find much online. The pediatrician made some very bold statements along the lines of protection against cancer but they sounded very far fetched.
over here they don't add any of the omegas into formula at all.
My questions are, does she need it? Will she get enough from a balanced diet? If not am I better off carrying on with the supplement or buying formula from the UK that does contain the omegas?
