Growth spurt/not feeding enough?

DS is nearly 8m and is guzzling milk like its going out of fashion. I used to struggle to get him to take 18oz and he's taking 24+ atm. He's now weaning with 3 good meals a day - he has a huge bowl of redy brek for breakfast, a 200g jar of lunch plus another fruit jar/fromage frais and similar for tea with finger foods inbetween and with. Is it a growth spurt or am I not feeding him enough?

Maybe try getting some more protein/fat in the solid food than there is at present e.g. try offering full fat greek yoghurt instead of the fromage frais/fruit puree. It's hard to know what is in the lunch jars you mention, but you could try adding grated cheese or similar to them. Often the jars contain mostly vegetables/water/thickener and are lower in protein than you might expect.

Does he eat meat/fish? You could try that as finger food if you're not already.

It actually sounds like quite a lot of food for a nearly 8 month old, hence my suggestion of making the food more nutrient/calorie-dense rather than upping the volume.
