when did your periods start again?

mine started again today - i felt elated. cos i knew i can have another child now...still, thought they didn't come back while you were b/f..? or is that an old wives tale?

Mine came back the day after ds's 1st birthday. Still bf though.

Mine came back after I dropped from three feeds per day to two (ds was just over a year).

If they didn't come back whilst b/fing, then there wouldn't be such a thing as tandem feeding, wfal

Mine didn't after no. 1, thus the existence of no. 2, conceived 2 weeks after weaning !

mine came back after 13-14 months, a month after I finished bf. It was a gory mucky period that lasted about a week and obviously my body having a clear out. went straight back to my 31 day cycle after that. As I'm NOT having another kid I can't advise further

Mine came back after 4 months and I was still exclusively breast feeding at that point too! Hated that fact that they came back so quickly.

Mine started again 11 months after DS2 was born. I was still BF.

Mine came back when DS was 9 months & he slept thru for 2 weeks straight. Before then he did usually sleep thru, but woke maybe once a week or fortnight. They have been very wierd though - very very irregular (more so than usually) for a few months, then very very regular (every 28 days) which was quite nice as they havent done that EVER! & recently they have gone pretty much back to normal (35+ day irregular cycles, acne every month etc ). DS is now 28 months & still feeds, but not as much in the day sometimes, which I guess is why they have normalised again...which is good coz we are ttcing atm

Mine came back 5 weeks after giving birth, both times, even although I was exclusively and constantly feeding. Some cheeky beggar told me that this happens when you have plenty of fat reserves.

Mine came back after 6 weeks and I was exclusively breastfeeding..

mine came on a month after i i stopped breastfeeding, the day after i did a pregnancy test!

Mine came back when dd was 16 months.. Just as i arrived in Germany for a touch of xmas shopping last year

a week ago.....after 2 and a half years!!!
ds2 is now 20 months
came back 2 months after i stopped feeding in the night
