6mo Baby Fussing at Breast / Arching Back and Crying - Any tips?

My 6mo has been EBF since birth. We do the occasional bottle of expressed BM but she has never had formula. We started introducing solids three weeks ago and she has taken to that well but still only eating small amounts and only twice a day.

This week she has started being very fussy at the breast. She gives all the indications of being hungry so I get ready for a feed then she arches her back, screams like she doesn't want it. Sometimes she will take the feed but breaks off quite quickly and the same behaviour arching back etc.

I'm not really sure what is causing this - could be a growth spurt / teething (she has two teeth already) or could it be the introduction of solids? I guess I am just worried that she is going off breastfeeding and I am trying to be careful to ensure she gets enough milk as I am aware they need milk as main source of nutrition until 1yo. She has always been slightly small (25th centile) so I want to make sure she keeps her wight up.

Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with this? Should I just not worry, hope it will pass and express to keep supply up meantime? Or should I try to up her solids and take this as a sign that she is needing more food and less milk? Or should I try something different when BFing?

Any tips gratefully received. Thanks.

I should add the irony is that I spent last week wondering if I would move her to formula for daytime feeds now she is 6mo and after weighing everything up, I decided to continue BFing for all milk feeds for as long as possible. I would be gutted if she now decides to vote with her feet and refuse BFing. Maybe I am worrying unnecessarily?

my 7mo weaning DS is doing the same! I've been assuming that him having to wait a minute at the breast and work for his food is frustrating for him. I've starting pumping once a day as it seems to quicken my letdown. hoping this helps and I'm stock piling for bottles of ebm after I've weaned him from the breast.
