Introducing a bottle and formula milk

Firstly, I am trying to introduce a bottle to my 10 week old who I have been solely breastfeeding since he was born. I really would like to occasionally leave him with my mum however I can not get him to take a bottle. It just starts crying, will not suck teat and gets in a right state! Does anyone have any Ideas. I've tried munchkin latch teats and tommy tippee. He was taking from latch on teats well but now had decided he won't anymore.

Secondly, does anyone recommend any formula. I've given him 2 cow and gate premade bottles both of which he had projectile vomit with. Does anyone have any ideas of a better one to use.

Thanks

This is just anecdotal but I have heard some babies get on better with ready made, others powder. Also a couple of people whose babies don't get on with cow and gate tried hipp organic.
Just the "grapevine" as I bf but express feeds.

In terms of bottles, I found lansinoh from mothercare woke better than the very big wide hard teats of some bottles. It took several days to "teach" my baby though ... first playing almost then gradually moving to eating.
Things like the temperature can be adjusted too. Good luck! Smile

My baby is ebf. I tried a bottle & formula for the same reason. After a lot of online reading I went for the NUK bottle with latex teat and medium flow. I got Aptamil first milk formula. Luckily she took to both quite well. I tried quite late at 4 months so I was sure she will refuse. The nuk latex teat is very soft & excellent for ebf babies.

Ironically I hardly ever used the option & almost always breastfed my baby! Grin

My DD is two weeks and EBF but we had to introduce a bottle at 7 days due to tongue tie. We use medela calma (most like a breastfeed apparently...) and she is fine swapping between bottle and breast which I'm amazed by. We haven't used any formula yet but with my other DD could only find SMA powder / or ready made that she wouldn't sick up. We tried Hipp and Aptamil before that and they didn't agree with her. I guess it's a bit of trial and error on the formula really. Good luck
