Formula making previously EBF baby windy and miserable

My six month old is having formula during the day while I'm at work and since she finally gave in and accepted the bottle I don't think she's slept longer than two hours at the time. I bought Cow and Gate, would it be worth trying a different brand? She's kicking and whinging and a bit possety when she wakes, having previously slept well and never been sick. I don't really have the option to pump at work for various reasons but feed her in the morning and at night and the weekends.

I would try Aptamil formula.

I also found the cartons, if you can afford them to be much easier on babes digestive system. I did query this with the makers (sad I know) and the cartons ingredients are broken down further during the pasteurisation process, in turn meaning less for the digestive system to break down and therefore easily digested.

No advice but I'll be watching this as just had the same with my 8 month old. I used Aptamil ready mixed.

You do know work legally have to make it possible for you to express at work?

If she's 6 months you could encourage her to bfeed more when you are round, and take solids in the day. Mine wouldn't take a bottle so we ended up adding an extra night feed. Google reverse cycling.

Otherwise it's likely trial and error with formula brands, or waiting for her to settle. You can usually drop daytime bottles at 9m anyway.

Cow and gate also gave mine excess wind and a bad night, and she eats food with milk in it fine.
Chatted to some ff mums I know. They suggested Hipp Organic and also if you're using powder try pre made, or pre made try powder iyswim.

Mine didn't like aptamil, the readymade were particularly bad for him.

I know they are all the 'same' but I did have more success with other brands, so I'd suggest trying a different one :-)

We use a thicker comfort formula now.

I bf so this is just from 2nd hand info but I understand Aptimel and Cow & Gate are similar. So if dc is windy with one of those, I was told try another brand not of those 2 types iyswim.

In the middle of it now! Only need it for times I'm out at shorter notice (currently I need 4 days to pump with the old hand pump! As I'm so precious about my frozen "emergency" stash!).

We're using Cow and Gate powder, so I was considering HiPP ready made as that's what I weaned my last one onto with no problems. She absolutely will not countenance solids other than a bit of banana to slobber on. She feeds lots at night but last night wasn't feeding well at all, just kicking and crying and arching her back. She doesn't mind not eating during the day much (she went two weeks without eating anything while I was at work) but it's tough on whoever is looking after her. There is a room I could pump in and a fridge etc but my work schedule makes it unlikely for me to be able to find time each day to pump.
