Help with carobel

Also posted in allergies as wasn't sure which was best! My DD is 6 weeks old and has been prescribed Neocate for cmp allergy. She also has bad reflux for which she has ranitidine, but she's still having trouble keeping her milk down. Rather than try more drugs for the reflux we thought we would try carobel as the neocate is very thin so she seems to bring it up more easily.
Those of you who use carobel, how much do you use in what size feed? Also, we used a fast flow teat as all the others clogged, but she still seemed to get frustrated at how slowly it was coming out. We used a fast flow Dr Browns teat and used one level scoop of carobel in 5oz neocate. Hints and tips from fellow carobel users? Thanks!

Just bumping for you.

It has been a while since i used it-years. But i think it was one scoop per small bottle (about 120mls?). And yes, faster flow teats. Have you tried the vari-flow teats?

Tbh, I'm not overly convinced anything helped dd. She improved massively after weaning, but still suffers a bit age 2.

Good luck. I remember how hard this was Flowers

The dosage has changed in the last few years, as they re formulated it. Can't remember exactly when but it might mean the suggestion above is a bit out of date.

Dd has 1 scoop per 100ml, but she's tube fed so I don't know about teats and whatnot.

We used vari flow teats and followed the dosage amount on the box. It worked really wellfor our little boy.

I'd try using much less. Start with half a scoop and then adjust depending on how a feed goes. I think the dosage on the box is very generous. The feed will be like cement with a full scoop added
