Day 3 feeding

Dd is on day 3 and by going ok - with some challenges. Ds was a terrible sleeper and because I had less milk I spent a lot of time with him on breast.

Dd is the opposite. Fed on both breasts at 7:30. Then one breast each at 10:00, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 15:00. Now still napping. that's ok right? She'll probably land up feeding constantly for a few hours then stop again? I just find sleeping fabulous - but bizarre. It just didn't happen with ds!! Smile

She's only been asleep for 2 hours, enjoy it while you can. If it gets to 6 you might give her a stir and offer her the breast and see if she'll take any Smile

Totally right. It's so different to ds that I panicked for a minute!!

How is she now? Forgot to say before, big congratulations Thanks

Congratulations!

My dd slept nearly 7 hours on day 3 and would not wake enough to feed. I was still in hosp and midwives said all seemed fine but it was very unusual.

She continues to be a great sleeper, sleeping through the night 8-7 with one dream feed by 8 weeks, but then hit 6 months and started to get up every 2 hours. No idea why! She's now 8 months and I'm still exhausted. Anyway the point is - ENJOY IT whilst you can!! Grin

Smile she slept another 90 minutes, had a feed then slept 2 hours I think. Has been awake since 10 ish, feeding constantly. So clearly I can stop worrying! I think she is finally ready to sleep so off to bed now!

Thanks again for indulging me!
