STRESS!

My 3mo ff ds seems to be eating less than usual, it has been going on for the past couple of days.

He is showing signs of teething and has been a bit snuffly.

Is this just that he's getting more efficient with his feeding? Along with possibly teething.

He does usually feed like mad before a growth spurt then going a few days with more sleep/less feeds which I assumed it was at first but it's gone on for a little longer this time.

I have a visitor coming over on Monday to tell me where I can take him to get weighed so I have no idea if this is affecting his weight at all as he hasn't been weighed since he was about 8 weeks Confused

Any advice would be appreciated.

I did call HV but she just thinks it's because he's teething.

Ducky - do you mean you are breastfeeding?

You say you are formula feeding, but the rest of your post does not fit.

No he is formula fed, he is on nutramigen if that makes any difference?

Bit young for teething, might be getting a cold, if their nose is blocked they can't suck and feed at the same time.

Re the feeding more efficiently thing, I think that applies if breastfeeding i.e.whenf older babies start feeding quicker they might well be taking just as much as before only feeding more efficiently. Obviously if you are FF you can see how much he is getting.

At 3 months if he is still feeding regularly even if less than before and no other issues I would wait it out a week to see what happens, you might find he wakes up tomorrow with rivers of snot Grin.

Thanks junior.

Hopefully I should have a better idea of how much he should be eating after he is weighed. He has been snuffly for a few days but I have been giving him the nasal spray occasionally, he hates it!
