How much formula to give 5.5mo?

Hi DD is now 5.5 months, and was EBF until last week. I got sick and had to start medication she can't have so have had to rapidly change to bottle feeding. So far so good in that she doesn't seem to miss breastfeeding at all, but I'm struggling trying to translate our previous BF schedule to bottles.
Her weight had been dropping centiles a bit so HV had suggested giving her solids once a day. She has now also been taking 6x 7oz bottles per day in addition to this. My problem is in the evening. I've been trying to keep her on an EASY routine, so she takes a bottle after waking at 4.30 or 5pm, and usually finishes the full 7oz. However she then gets another feed at 6.30 when going to bed and the last few nights has taken nearly full 7oz again and then puked most of it up around me. These 2 feeds are clearly too close together for her, but she is always hungry after waking from last nap and won't go to bed without a feed.
Just wondering what others do?
Should I try to reduce what she's taking at 5, or see if she'll just do with solids at that time?

We started switching from ebf to ff at 5.5 months (ish - where does the time go, it's confusing!!) but my dd doesn't take the same amount each time. Sometimes she'll just have 3oz to tide her over. Perhaps try a smaller feed?
