Milk blister

Does anyone have any tips for how to deal with a milk blister? I have a small-ish white spot on my nipple and it is super painful (latching the baby on is agony too). Should I just keep slathering on Lansinoh and wait for it to go away?
Am forcing myself to keep offering that side to avoid supply problems, and trying to fix latch too, but could do without this added bonus!

I hesitate to suggest this, but you can gently try to scrape the white spot off eg in the shower.

(I'm even more reluctant to suggest that you could take a sterilised needle to it to gently pick the spot out...).

Once the blockage has gone, the rest resolves itself quickly.

Shower sounds good approach - am wincing just thinking about a needle so hopefully that can be avoided!

I've had several milk blisters, all easily resolved with a quick lance with a sterile needle - then squeeze! (Or feed) to free the blocked duct.
