How much milk is your 6.5 mth old drinking?

DS1 is on 3 meals a day now, eating well and I'm giving him a wide variety of food. He drinks water from a sippy cup at mealtimes quite happily too. When I introduced lunch (about 2 weeks ago) I dropped a bottle at that time so we're now on 4 bottles a day. He dropped his 10.30pm bottle a couple of days ago so we were on 5 until then. But he never takes more that 4oz when he wakes around 6.30/7 and only takes a couple of ozs at his 3pm feed. His mid morning and bedtime bottle are the only two he'll finish near enough (about 8oz). I did read that they should be taking around 20oz a day but yesterday he didn't when I added it all up especially now we're not doing the 10.30 bottle (he started refusing that one). Just looking for some chat on what your baby of a similar age is doing. Thanks!

Hiya i have a 6 month who is exactly the same shes offered 4 8oz bottles a day but never finishes them id say shes has about 14oz today. Im making her meals with baby milk to try get abit more down her.
To be honest i dont think she particular likes milk now shes tasted food and has no time in her busy day to sit still long enough to drink one!

Same, I give DS 3 meals a day and offer milk first thing when he wakes up, between breakfast and lunch, between lunch and dinner and before bed. He never takes more than 5oz so I don't think he's getting his full 20oz.
If he wakes in the night, he'll have maybe 2-3oz then goes straight back to sleep.
I give him water or Heinz flavoured baby water which he loves, I agree with PP, bottles are boring now he knows about real food, rolling around the living room like a lunatic and stuffing anything and everything into his mouth Grin

About 6-7 6oz bottles! Still 2-3 nifht feeds. But then we are BLW and only started 3 weeks ago so he's only having one solid meal a day.

He has had a few days of refusing bottles though so I dropped to one solids meal from 2 because of this, maybe try to drop to 2 meals of solids to see if this increases milk intake? As milk is still more important than solids at this age. I'm planning to hold off on 3 meals of solids until 8 months because he dropped milk feeds immediately and The milk is still going to be better for him now than his foods. He gets a lot of plain yoghurt, cheese and butter though for the calories.

Mine has 4 breast feeds (sometimes 5) and one 7oz bottle. Doing baby led weaning (she seems to hate being spoon fed, just like her brother, can't think where they get their stubbornness from...Hmm) and she's not really eating much yet though we have a 'meal' twice a day.
