10 month old refusing bottle and won't be weaned

DD2 has been breastfed for 10 months but now has 4 teeth and recently bit me so badly she drew blood. I was going to go for the 12 months but this has put me off a bit as am as sore as I was when she was newborn. Also she is becoming increasingly impatient with slow let down and this is when she bites. It's not a restful experience for anyone.

I've tried to give her formula but she gags (in the rare occasions she actually tastes the stuff) so tried her on cows milks (she has a v. good and varied diet with high amounts of iron and vit c) which she seems to prefer.

The thing is she just desn't want to take the bottle when she knows that a BF is possible. The rage she exhibits is phenomenal, almost like a terrible two's tantrum. I've tried all sorts of bottles, cups, beakers, teats etc etc with no joy. She flings them away in absolute fury.

Any tips?

have u tried an open cup? i found a doidy cup is the only thing dd (5 months) will drink from.

I tried with some limited success but it was slow and messy and DD1 (just 2) interferred like nobody's business and it all just spiralled downhill. It took all afternoon to get 5oz into her.

Never seen a doidy cup before (just googled it). Does your DD use it on her own?

she holds the handles and puts it to her mouth herself but i keep my hand on it too otherwise it'd be everywhere. i keep the milk in a second cup and just pour in very little at a time for her. it is slow, i'm building up to her taking more from it.
