DD is 11 weeks and for last couple of days has been quite hungry late pm so feeding more than usual, and also fussing a bit when she does feed. I think with the fussing I missed her changing position, or something went wrong with latch, because today I woke up with nasty blisters on both nipples Sad .

I can still feed her and she seems satisfied so not worried she won't get enough. It's very sore because of the blisters but I've been focusing on latch and think that's fixed now.

But:

What can I do to ease the pain? Am doing salt baths plus a bit of breast milk and Lansinoh. Should I try shields?

How long does it take to heal? Should I go to GP or is this ok to be a self help thing? When will the blisters go away?

Why is she suddenly fussy? She used to be a little milk beast and nothing else mattered to her except my tits. Now it's like she's hungry but also has better things to do than eat. I have been pulling her off then winding, switching sides, and stopping if she just continues to fuss. Is that ok?
