Baby will only take a bottle from me

7mo DS is mostly BF but he has a bottle at bedtime. He used to take a bottle fine from anyone, but we have had a run where DH hasn't been home at bedtime and now DS fusses (screams!!) when DH tries to feed him - he can normally get a few ounces down him but it's not fun for anyone. If I take over he chills out.

Relatedly DS also settles much more easily for me than for DH.

Any tips for how we can make bedtime happier for DS and DH?

Go out?!? I think that they're more adaptable the less choice they're given! In all likelyhood it's just a phase and Daddy will be acceptable eventually. 7 months is still quite little so plenty of time to grow out of it if you just persevere with your dh giving him his bedtime feed. Does your dh do it regularly? Could he do bathtime etc too so he's part of the routine?

Unfortunately DH is rarely home from work for bedtime so I'm usually on my own. If he's in he'll generally do bedtimes but it's only recently DS has got difficult about it. I don't suppose there is much we can do other than let DH do bedtimes where possible. Perhaps we could try a bottle at other times of day which are less fraught.

Very similar with 7 month ds except he's exclusively bottle fed but if dh tries he often screams yet will instantly settle for me. Over Christmas things got better as dh had 2 weeks off and ds was much happier with him. Ds is starting with a childminder this month am hoping this will help teach him to be less fussy!
