Desperately missing underwired bras!!!

Hi, I'm looking for some advice about nursing bras and hope this is the right place to ask?

Basically I have huge boobs which have grown from an already large 36F before pregnancy to a whopping 38GG. I am still exclusively breast feeding my DD who is 4 months old. Ever since my boobs started growing in early pregnancy I ditched the under wire. But I miss it so much!! My boobs are now so droopy.

I wondered whether anyone else has had experience of wearing underwired bras while breastfeeding and was it ok or do you wish you hadn't? I know nursing bras don't have under wire but I'm so desperate that I'm contemplating getting an under wired bra and adapting it into a nursing bra. Is this a crazy idea??

There are loads of underwired ones! Google Anita or Freya underwired nursing bras, but adapting isn't a bad idea either. Once it fits properly its fibe

Anita underwired nursing bras will change your life. Look on ebay to get them a bit cheaper. They were the best money I spent, and tbh by dc 3 I was wearing a normal bra and just whipping a boob out quite easily when needed (boobs were of course wrecked at this point...)

Thanks, I did look into Anita nursing bras but a couple of reviews said they're not so good for large boobs so it put me off. would you say this is true? Could be worth a shot though! Thanks ??

I was then very same size as you when I was feeding ds1 and Anita bras were very supportive and comfortable. They have a deep band and wide straps as far as I remember. They were a revelation as finally my clothes hung normally rather than going round with a hideous mono boob. The granny bras I bought at great expense from Mothercare were worse than useless with such a big chest to support.

Thanks ... just noticed this post. I am also tired of monoboob. Wink

Thanks will definitely give them a whirl then! Monoboob is the least of my worries, I'm sick of the empire line on my nursing tops going over my boobs rather than under them!

Buy clips on ebay and convert bras you like. Life changing Smile
