It took me a couple of months, both times - I'm petite and weigh about 8 stone. After dd1 I ended up weighing less than I had before getting pg.

mustcackleorsuckbloodmore · 24/10/2006 23:20

Never. Got back to a stone heavier when ds1 was about 8 months, so far I'm still about 2 stone heavier with 8 month old ds2. So thats 3 stone more than pre kids And I am exercising etc , before someone jumps down my throat about it.

QuootieSpookypie · 24/10/2006 23:21

gordon bennet - I lost about... 1/2 stone after birth, but soon put in back on with eating to get loads of energy, so, at 7 months im week 39 pregnancy weight

littlepiggie · 24/10/2006 23:26

opps QP
I am back top and of pre baby weight (always between 8 1/2 and 9)
I try to walk rather than going in the car, but i have a mummy tummy that will not go.

Im not terribly fussed ATM, because I am so sapped of energy! When DS is totally weaned, ill go on a diet and exercise properly - I think id keel over if I went for a long walk right now!

I was just under 9 stone before I got pg and was in my normal clothes throughout most of my pregnancy - I only put on 12 lbs. At my 6 wk check up, I was about 7 1/2 stone. Think it was the breastfeeding that did it - I ate tons! Weigh more and more these days though and think that, although I'm small, 7 1/2 stone is not enough.

jabberthefriendlyghost · 25/10/2006 02:43

I gained 40 pounds with ds. Started out pre-pregnancy at 113 pounds.

I lost most of it within 6 months but it took another 6 months to lose the last 10 pounds.

mez656 · 25/10/2006 04:38

I gained about 30lb and 1 month after birth I had already lost about 25 of them. DD is now 9 months and I am a good 10-15lb lighter than my pre-preg weight. I'd say it's largely because of BF but also because I had to drop dairy due to dd's allergies. The belly is still squishy though.

maewickedwitchofthewest · 25/10/2006 12:25

About 10 days, BUT... this was mainly due to DS being admitted to hosp for a couple of days when he was 5 days old due to jaundice. I was constantly feeding and expressing and everything just pinged back. I'm now a few pounds lighter than I was before pg, but have always been a fairly buxom size 16, so not exactly a skinny minny and could prob have done with losing the weight anyway.

maewickedwitchofthewest · 25/10/2006 12:26

And I have never been 'toned', especially in the belly area...

mawbroon · 25/10/2006 16:24

I have just in the last month (ds is now 12months) got back to pre pregnancy weight. I put on 45lbs. In the last couple of weeks I have lost a bit more and am now lighter than pre pregnancy and my old jeans are hanging off . I am still breastfeeding, but i find each time that we cut down a bit, a bit more weight comes off.

tessasmum · 25/10/2006 16:32

About 5 months each time though put some on when I stopped bf DD - just kept eating I think! Will be wiser this time round
Put on about 2 1/stone each time but it came off without trying at all. Very luck I know as I was 40 the first time and 43 the second so no svelt young thing!

lemonAIIEEE · 25/10/2006 16:32

21 months

And I had a fair bit I needed to lose even when I got pregnant, so there's still a lot to go...

amijee · 25/10/2006 18:26

started at 47 kgs and went up to 55.5 kgs. Back to normal weight after approx 1 mth but not quite the same belly!

littlepiggie · 25/10/2006 21:09

about belly.
I had a lovely belly before ds, now it islike a wobbly map.
