infant sick, worried about mastitis

6 mo ebf unwell and feeding poorly.

I'm terrified of mastitis but really don't want you pump, I get an oversupply that is very uncomfortable for both of us.

I also don't want this to be the beginning of the end of bf. I'd like to go on for a year if possible.

suggestions??

If she's not feeding well you'll have to express to maintain your supply and prevent issues. You could hand express if you prefer?

If you are concerned about mastitis and want your supply to continue then pumping is the only solution. I don't think that hand expressing will be sufficient tbh

thanks. I'm pumping. hand expressing, I assume, would take time that I don't have with DS sick and cutting teeth at the same time. he's not allowing me to put him down and his naps are coming in at a soul crushing 20 minutes.

I just hate the oversupply and he hates the forceful letdown that comes with it.

thanks though!
