Bottlefed disinterested 14 week old

I've seen a few threads on here re fussing bottle feeders. For the last few weeks, my 14 week old, now 13lbs, struggles through a 6oz bottle at each feed. We feed (or try to) 6oz\at
7am, 11am, 2.30pm and then 6/6/30pm. I do a feed at 10/10/30pm.
I would have thought that by 7am after over 7hours he would be starving...this morning and yesterday, he took only 3- 4 oz. That has carried on all day really not being that interested and taking much less than he usually does
He's not been any more grizzly than usual but when he does feed he will drink 3 oz or so in one hit and then gets distracted/fussing/tugging/pushing bottle with his hands. When I try to leave it 10 mins or so and try again he might have half an ounce or so but then more likely than not brings it back up ! He put on 11oz over the last 2 weeks.
He is generally "sleeping through" other than perhaps once or twice a week and woke up twice at the weekend at 4.30am and gulped down 5oz each time.
ANy advice - should I be worried? Is it normal for them to take much less feed than usual some days. I've had a chest infection/cold this week so maybe he's coming down with something? This is my first baby so haven't been down this route before !! I mentioned it to my doctor yesterday when I was in there re something else but he said it is "just one of those things" (he was formerly a paediatrician and has three of his own children so maybe he was right ?)...but any "mum" type advice is welcomed.
Thanks !

Ni newmum-- my DD was like that....
as long as your DS is well and happy and meeting his milestones...i wouldn;t worry too much,..is he weeing & pooing ok?

his weight gain sounds fine and if he is bringing milk back up, he doens;t need it!

some babies are hungrier than others...and some have hungrtier days than others...you know yourslef, some days you are just ravenous all day, others, less so!

if he is sickneing for something, that might dull his appetite...

if you were breastfeeding you wouldn't know how many ounces he was drinking...so don;t worry!
